File a claim for your Sterling tickets

13 November, 2008 by Anni Poulsen

I’ve already made a claim for my redundant Sterling tickets with my credit card issuer, but the details of how to file a claim yourself have now been published by The Danish Consumer Council.

According to The Danish Consumer Council, Sterling ticket holders can file a claim directly with the liquidator by sending them a letter or email including these details:

  • your name and address
  • price of ticket
  • date of purchase
  • a copy of your receipt.
  • You can find the liquidator’s contact details on the Embassy of Denmark, London website (in English) and on The Danish Consumer Council website (in Danish).

Obviously, there are no guarantees that your claim will be successful, but it does at least provide some hope for those ticket holders who are not already covered through insurance or by either having booked a package holiday or paid by credit card.

As for my claim, I’m still waiting to hear from my credit card issuer. The good news, though, is that I’ve managed to secure a new return ticket for my Denmark trip with another airline.
