Visiting London over Christmas?

17 December, 2006 by Anni Poulsen

Transport for London has published a leaflet that will guide you through using public transportation in London over Christmas.

The “Travel information for the Festive Season” leaflet lists the services that will be available from Christmas Eve through to New Year’s Day.

On Christmas Day, Monday 25 December, no public transportation will be available apart from a few replacement coaches from Gatwick and Heathrow airports into central London.

On New Year’s Eve it will be free, as usual, to travel by Tube, buses, DLR and trams from 23:45 till 04:30.

Should you need to drive in to London, you’ll be pleased to know that the usual 8 pound Congestion Charge will be waived from Saturday 23 December till Monday 1 January both days included.

You can download the “Travel information for the Festive Season” leaflet from the Transport for London web site.
