Homeless World Cup gets underway
With 17 goals South Africa became the top scorer on the opening day of the Homeless World Cup.
Anyone in Copenhagen this week can catch all the action on “Rådhuspladsen” (the Town Hall Square), the rest of us can follow the tournament via match reports and photos on the Homeless World Cup website.
It’s not too late for you to become a member of their fan club. I’m writing this in my fan club member t-shirt and have been assured that my membership card should arrive in a couple of weeks. Sadly not in time to be flaunted in the faces of non-converted during the Copenhagen tournament, but then I’m sure the 2008 Homeless World Cup in Melbourne will need all the support it can get as well.
