Love is in the Air in Brighton
16 August, 2007 by Anni Poulsen
Dawn took these photos a few weeks back in Brighton, East Sussex, UK.
We don’t have the story behind them, although Brighton Pride was on, so maybe it was linked to that event. Or maybe it was someone’s romantic idea of proposing, or maybe the pilot just wanted to spread some love. Make of it what you will, I thought it was cute!

Yes, i was just spreading a bit of feel good factor. I was aware that pride was on, and i am straight so it was not showing a specific preference, i just felt it would be appropriate at the time!
Is there a chance you would e mail me some high res copies of the images?
I would like to use them on my web site, they are the most complete set showing all stages of the creation!
Hope you enjoyed my flamboyant aviating!
Kind regards
Justyn Gorman Display Pilot (Shoreham)
Hi. The pilots name is Justyn Gorman. He is an amazingly talented aerobatic pilot. His heart was not linked to Gay pride or anything romantic. It is just his “thing” – his signature if you like! If you think that he’s good why dont you tell him. His website is http://www.invertme.com He will be doing several air shows through August and September. 23/24 August he will be at Clacton, 26 August Little Granson and also at Dunsford. Other dates can be found on his web page. He is well worth watching!
Hey there, a friend sent me the link to your words and pics. I was co-piloting the plane at the time. We had done some aerobatics out near Newhaven and we had thought it would be a fun way to help get Pride started.
I have very few pics like these – so if your friend wouldn’t mind send me a copy I’d really appreciate it. It was just one of those ‘perfect’ days flying so if you can share the memory that would be fab!
In return I’ll send you a pic or two of the plane (close up).
With best wishes,
Mungo
Justyn, thanks for the show and the story behind the photos. I’ll pass your request to Dawn – provided the photos are credited to her, I don’t think she would mind. I believe low-res is all, she has saved though, but that should be enough for screen display.
Mungo, sounds like a fun day. Again I’ll pass Justyn’s request for copies of the photos to Dawn. If Dawn sends them to Justyn, maybe he can forward them to you?
Steph, I’m sure Justyn appreciates your kind words and thanks for the information.
Thanks Anni, i will of course happily credit Dawn with the pictures, in fact she could e mail them to me with her details on as a stamp or i will ensure this is done prior to their use.
Glad you enjoyed the display.
Justyn
Mungo, i will e mail you a copy of the pictures if Dawn copies them to me, again we wil ensure that Dawn is credited for the images.

I was in Brighton the day that Justyn was doing his infamous love heart display. He didn’t have a co-pilot. He was flying solo. He did attempt a heart in the morning with a co-pilot but he was definately alone when he produced those works of art. He was definately a solo artist.
Regards,
Betty
Justyn is a great pilot and Im not surprised to learn that he is the “owner” of the Brighton Love Heart. He took me flying when I was still in school. It was the most thrilling experience of my life. He was in total control the entire time and it was truly amazing. Have you seen how many pages there are about him on the net? I watched him and a glider doing at display in London recently. I have never seen anything like it in my life. What a talented guy!

I have been flying and done aeros with Justyn loads of times. He is the coolest guy. Justyn will take any one flying because he loves it so much that he wants to share his love. How many 13 year old boys can say that they have been in a plane when the pilot was doing aeros? How cool is that?! My mates have never believed me and probably never will. Well done Justyn. What a great heart! That heart is what Just is all about.

Well what can I say! At last someone has picked up on Justyns love hearts. He has been doing them for years! I believe he even did this particular display at a friends wedding last year. He is a very talented young chap and it is about time that he realised it. Good luck Justyn. See you at Dunsford.
