Stuff your rucksack
Hands up if you’ve ever found yourself visiting a school on your travels and wished that you’d brought them some books or other teaching materials, if only you’d known what they needed.
StuffYourRucksack.com is a brilliant new website with the aim of bringing together organisations who welcome gifts with travellers who are willing to bring them the gifts.
Organisations can register with StuffYourRucksack.com and let travellers know what they need. As a traveller you can then find out which organisations need what in the countries you’ll be visiting.
The site is only just getting off the ground by the looks of things, so I only found a few organisations that had registered their needs. A few rogue links still need to be sorted out and there isn’t much information about who’s behind the site other than the name Kate Humble.
But apart from that StuffYourRucksack.com is very easy to use, and in my opinion a superb idea that I sincerely hope takes off.
Note
I first read about StuffYourRucksack.com on e-hub.

Hi there!
Thanks for featuring our site! We are still getting going really, but the number of organisations listed is growing steadily - we’ve got organisations listed in 44 countries and in every continent now (ok, not antarctica…).
If you’re going away soon, please check our site. Even if you don’t find anyone to help where you’re going, you can still keep an eye out while you’re away and sign up any organisations that you find.
Thanks again!
PS. Thanks for the mention of the rogue links! How embarrassing!

Best of luck with your project.
