Naked passengers on German flight

29 January, 2008 by Anni Poulsen

It’s not the first time a German travel company raises eyebrows, but the announcement that you can now fly naked certainly made me do a double take.

The German travel portal OssiUrlaub.de will from 5 July offer passengers to travel in their birthday suits. If you find this disturbing, you might be happy to learn that the flight will be a domestic flight – a return daytrip from Erfurt to Heringsdorf on the island of Usedom.

Prices start at EUR 499,- per person for about an hour’s worth of naked flying each way with up to 49 other passengers. Passengers will be allowed to strip once onboard, but for safety reasons crew members will remain fully clothed for the entire flight, says OssiUrlaub Director Enrico Heß.

Personally I prefer everyone to be fully dressed when I fly, but each to their own.
