Suggestions for Tenerife welcome

My other half has arranged a surprise trip to Tenerife. I was told early this morning that we go Sunday morning and all I’m allowed to know is that we will be staying in the Costa Adeje area.

It’s all very exciting, we are both dying for a break and a bit of sun. As I won’t have time to do my normal research before we go, I’d be more than grateful for any tips/recommendations on Tenerife. We’re both very much in to snorkling, walking, good food, a good natter with a few locals, exploring and just generally getting a good feel for the place.

PS. I don’t plan to be blogging while I’m away, so expect it to go a bit quiet here for a few days.
