2 billion trips during Chinese Spring Festival
More than 2 billion trips are expected to be taken by train, air, sea or road in China from 3 February till 14 March during this year’s Spring Festival travel peak.
This year the Chinese Spring Festival, also know as Lunar New Year or Chinese New Year, officially starts on 18 February (Gregorian calendar) and ends with the Lantern Festival on the 15th day of the new Chinese year.

Beijing to Lagos route opens
China Southern Airlines opened its new route Beijing to Lagos, Nigeria on 30 December.
The Guangzhou based airline is currently the only airline that provides a semi-direct airlink between China and Africa (with a stopover in Dubai).

One day when I was taking a photo of a child playing in the old market square of Lijiang in China, a man in a traditional blue suit came up to me and introduced himself as Yang Ming Yi, the poet of Lijiang.
