If you have a little spare time while visiting London, go for a walk in one of the parks and collect conkers for the Young Vic Theatre.

The theatre is in need of as many conkers as possible for their The Forest production according to a facebook message posted at the end of September.

The show runs from 9-24 December according to the Young Vic website, so you have a couple of weeks still to hunt for conkers.

I assume, you drop the conkers off at the Young Vic, but do check with them first. You can find their address on their website.

Just a quick note for all you hotdog fans out there. You can now buy Danish hotdogs at the Danish Sausage Company on 9 Duke Street in Brighton, UK.

I had one yesterday and it’s the real deal. They even sell Danish chocolate milk, which of course is a must with all that remoulade.

Bon appetit!

The letter was addressed to Richard Branson and it is just too funny to be missed: Virgin: the world’s best passenger complaint letter?

Do you believe there’s life on other planets? Then you might be interested to read the files recently released by the UK government of UFO sightings reported in the UK from 1978 to 2002.

I’ve gone through some of the files and have yet to find anything convincing, but a report of a “banana shape, like Welsh light” (source: DEFE 31/173) hovering above Wembley Stadium did make me smile.

The UFO files are available through the National Archives website at: ufos.nationalarchives.gov.uk.

Please note that the release of the files has been widely reported in the British press and the files are quite big (14-51 Mb), so the site may be a bit slow to load.
