Man-attacking Leopards to be Tagged

47 leopards are to be tagged with electromagnetic chips before they are released in the Indian state of Maharashtra.

The leopards were captured when they started attacking people outside the Sanjay Gandhi National Park in Mumbai between 2004 and 2005.

The Baiji Dolphin is No More

“The Baiji is functionally extinct”, the sad announcement comes from August Pfluger, the co-organizer of The Yangtze Freshwater Dolphin Expedition 2006.

The expedition ended today, 13 December, without any sightings or other signs of the Baiji dolphin.

Desperate search for dolphin on the Yangtze

If you’re hoping to catch a glimpse of a baiji dolphin on your cruise on the Yangtze River you may be too late.

The baiji is believed to be amongst the world’s oldest fresh-water mammals, but experts are worried that the dolphin is no more.

The brown-and-white panda is no more

The world’s last brown-and-white panda died yesterday at the Qinling Safari Park zoo in Xi’an, China.

Qin Qin died suddenly at an age of 17 years for reasons yet to be confirmed.
