View of a Local

Our View of a Local series consists of interviews with local people in various towns and cities in different countries.

We aim for the interviews to be a fun and easy way for travellers to gain a better understanding of the place they are visiting. At the same time the series gives the interviewees a chance to share their knowledge about their home town.

The series started back in 2006,  but as you can see from the map below, we still have a long way to go, before we have covered the world. So there is plenty of room for you to add your hometown.

Please help us cover the map with pins, information from a local is gold to a traveller. If you have tips about your home town, we’d love to publish your tips in a View of a Local interview.

If interested please send us a message from our contact page including details such as your name, your home town and country and your URL if you have your own blog or web site.

If we don’t already have an interview from your home town, we will then email you the interview questions.

Note: We reserve the right to reject applications if we find them unsuitable for our series.
